I’m Mendiana or Mendi.
I was Born in Haiti but raised in Hispaniola. I emphasize Hispaniola because I grew up in both Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
I’m a dreamer and nomad in residence who is currently on a pit stop in Los Angeles, California with aspirations of exploring the world through uncharted cultural lenses & doing what I love.
I speak four languages fluently.
I started this blog as a passion project which has quickly transformed into my little corner of the internet where my thoughts, feelings mixed with everything fashion, culture and love in-between resides.
These are the stories I will live to tell my children and grandchildren one day in the comfort of my Beachfront home, except you got the scoop first.
As far as what my dreams and aspirations are?
I only want to make my mark in a positive way in this world whether it is as a lover and dreamer.

I graduated with my B.A from Florida International University where I studied International Relations with a Minor in economics and a focus in LATAM politics to understand the world around me. However, naturally my interested in media relations peaked with my food and hospitality social startup Lickyaascreen, that I launched during my junior year of undergrad which helped me navigate the world of Hospitality and tourism media through contract based work.
I have a Master of Science in Strategic Communications with a focus on Advertisement & Public Relations from
The S.I. Newhouse School Of Public Communications at Syracuse University. GO ORANGE 🍊
The chill stuff and other things I did not mention.
When I’m not watching docuseries, reading fashion and culture commentary blogs. I love spending time by the beach and catching breathtaking east coast sunsets. I take immense pride in being Haitian because the hustle and the passion in the bustle of Port au Prince have greatly inspired my outlook on life. I fully believe that if you can survive in this city, you will thrive everywhere else in the world.
I am a Sagittarius sun with 5 personal planets in Capricorn so I am pretty fucking saturnian.
I am not joking when I say my plan A is to be a SAHW.
I have an undiagnosed fixation with the ocean & anything relational to the sea (Bikinis, seashells & boats)
I am always overdressed and unimpressed
Speaking of, I have a disgustingly big obsession with Italian leather goods, culture, food, men and Tiramisu (I don’t plan on resisting neither anytime soon)
